Anderson Ranch is the major supporter of the arts on the western slope of Colorado. They have a large campus at the Snowmass Ski Area with programing in all aspects of the arts.
Jim Baker answered an ad and took a job in which he thought it entailed maintaining the darkroom. It actually required him to direct the photography program at Anderson Ranch that brought in some of the most esteemed photographers in North America. Later he went on to be directer of the center for 11 years. Jim talks about the center, his role there and his photography. I interviewed him for my community Photo-Talk TV program in 1995.
