Gunnufson began photographing the Rockies in earnest after moving to Breckenridge following his graduation from the University of Colorado. Over the next three decades he built a body of work that has been exhibited in galleries across Denver and Colorado, and recognized in publications from Popular Photography to the Los Angeles Times.
