American Super Logger

American Super Logger is an award-winning documentary about the everyday life of a rancher/logger growing up on the west slope of the Rockies.

"Murph the Super Logger" tells what life was like for 5 generations of his family living in the Colorado mountains. Murph deviates from the family tradition of log homes to a buried concrete shelter with a view from the top of a mountain.

Directed by Kent Gunnufson, the film brings the same documentary eye to the logging world that he has applied to mountain life throughout his career — finding the human story inside the larger history, co-produced with the Grand County Historical Association.
